Will a Gen II front end swap onto a Gen I?  I believe that the Gen II frame is the same as Gen I.  If it is then were the triple tree mounts to the frame should be the same also.  Can anyone comfirm that.  I have located a full set for next to nothing and would like to do the swap, provided it works.

Im sure it can be done.  I dont know what kind of mods need to be done.  You can also do the 1000 front end.  Thats a direct bolt on.

I'm starting as soon as the season is over.  From what I've seen of the 08 forks and my current setup (2000) they're exactly the same.  Same upper and lower triples same hardware, same steering dampner.  Only difference is the style of fork, fork bottom and the calipers.

I'll definetly post up the swap.  I'm planning on installing a set of forged wheels too.

where the fork slides threw the lower clamp is 1mm larger in diameter
you can have your lower clamp bored to fit it

i just realized u r talking on front as n forks & t-tree. iwas thinking the fairing.lol. that is why i posted fairing pic on the gen 1 from the gen 2.lol

i feel silly. but post said front end swap.  so i should have asked i guess......

why not a 1000 fork, tree? i know that is better than th 00 to 07 busa. is the 08+ a much better upgrade?

I have the entire front end trees and all.  Thinking it will bolt on.
