Well, I'm in over my head.
First post here.  I am in El Campo, Texas, near Houston and am playing at getting good performance out of an aged "not so performance oriented" machine.  One friend has called it the world's tallest midget meaning that no matter how fast you make it, it's still not fast. LOL

My machine is a 1986 ZG1000 Concours Sport Tourer. . . Shaft drive, saddlebags, about 700 pounds, etc.    Two years ago I installed a T25 from a Mitsubishi Eclipse blowing through the original CV carbs.  It's been running great, but despite my best tuning efforts, fuel mileage has been poor and I wanted a new challenge too.  So, I decided to convert to EFI which I know almost nothing about.
I modified a set of T-bodies from an 03 ZX6R to bolt on and took a set of injectors from a ZX10R and cobbled up my setup.  I am running an MSD pump and Mallory bypass 1:1 regulator.  I have installed a Microsquirt EMS running fuel only (ignition is Dyna2000 for ZX11 and ran well before).  I am pulling the signal from the - coil wire on #1-4 coil.  The bike fired and ran and sounded good last night (first fire up).  Since then it has ceased to run well and dropped cyllinders.  AFR is high off the gauge and the engine dies (I assume dropped cylinders are forcing her to take more and more fuel until she dies).  I have the LC1 WBO2 as well.  I am wondering at the possibility of having missed some trash in a line or two and plugged an injector or if maybe it's just so rich it has fouled the plugs.

In any case, if I can get it back to square one and running decently enough... I think I will need some serious help to get it tuned and I know no one who can help me.  Anyone here that is smart enough to help and stupid enough to join forces with a dumb old hot rodder?

Tony is the man you need for the initial set ups.

The LC-1 can connect to the MS and using a palm pilot, you can log data and use it to tune the fuel tables.
Once you learn the software and how to load the data, MS will tune very easily. Baring any other issues...

I'm not much for setting up the MS but once you're ready to tune, I can help you out.

You're correct.  I made a boo boo. Pinky already private messaged me that I messed it up, I just hadn't come and fixed it.  Tony and I have been in good conversation and he helped me figure out that the OPTO ISOLATER circuit was toasted in my Microsquirt.  It seems the manual is a little shy on just the right info for my setup.  The MS is on its way back for repairs and DIY is taking excellent care of me... and Tony is too.  It's good to at least have a clue when to quit and take another approach.... uh... like quit trying to tune a dead horse  laughing7

I also have an MS1 that I assembled last year that is broke which I sent to Tony to figure out what's up with it.  Man, if all my stuff gets fixed I'm gonna inject everything I got.  bduh

Thanks for the help and don;t be surprised if I call on you down the road for more of it.  My rig ain't too fast, but it's fun.  Here's a link to a vid with my blow through carb setup.  Old dudes and old baggers rule!   beer
