pinky just sent me specs on the 40r
I don't think I need/want all that right now. I'd be more than happy with 450-500 hp
still trying to fit another toy in the budget (nissan 350z) and want to turbo it too

Unless you need a crank, I'd stick with stock bore and stock stroke.
As for horsepower, you pretty much need to decide what you are looking for in order to choose a turbo for your aplication.
What fuel do you plan to run? Is this with teh water to air cooler you got off of kurt?
WERX I would stay away from 84mm bore on a turbo bike. It can be done, and it does make more power at th esame boostlevel, but it is much less forgiving on tune mishaps.

if you get greedy they are nice to have. if you kill a stocker you may cost you a motor. i have heard of them making it ti 400 hp, but i would not feel comfortable at that hp in a racing bike. over build it and save your wallet frm the pain later.

If you were street riding your bike at 18lb 100% time and weren't trying to bust out big numbers and HAVE A GOOD TUNER...are you comfortable with the 1441 turbo? After talking to Dennis last night he was just saying he used to run 1397 turbos hardcore but just didn't crank them over 30lb. He was saying with the GT4094 on my bike and it being so freaking big that the increased displacement of using an 08 crank with 83-84mm 1407-1441, some streetable 385 lift megacycles and even some port work that the increased ability to flow the exhaust gas would turn it into a pump gas monster...just no dyno shoot outs which is all fine to me. Looks like the 08's with their slightly better flowing head, higher lift cams and increased displacement are making 1-2 Hp more per lb of boost over the GEN 1 bikes. Just being logical if you increased the cams, port the head and inceased displacement on the Gen 1 and can actually reap the benefits because of the larger turbo then you are looking at like I said a pump gas monster. You have to consider everything comes at a price and more risk involved but looks like the only downside is not having the ability to crank it up in big time boost...but street riding who the fuck used 30lb anyway? The cams are proven, dennis said porting the head with a large frame turbo reaps big time benefits and 1397 turbos or 84mm pistons have been around for years. You always have good opinions and theory ...what do you say?
