We are  in the process of putting a turbo on my brothers 14 right now, it's a Cycle Logic kit and we are just doing a stock motor, low boost build for now and hoping for 250-275 hp. We had a discussion going with some anti-turbo guys and were talking about n/a motor numbers, the most I've heard of on an all motor 14 was 220-225. What is the most you guys have heard of?

Watch out for the third journal oil starvation problem, been an issue on hopped up big Kaws for years. 14 clutches do not like big power. ProStreet 14s are rebuilt after every race, sometimes between rounds. There are certainly 14's out there that make good power, but do your research before hand to avoid draining the bank unnecessarily.

true
also the cycle logics first lockup with short arms is lucky if it makes over 300 or so HP
the MTC lockup is far superior of a lockup when it comes to the 14

I'm a busa fan myself but his 14 ran pretty good stock. What can you do about the oil starvation, and Pinky I don't think he's going to run a lockup right now, the rs class we have here does not allow lockups

I don't know what the solution is for the 3rd journal oil issue, but I'm sure there are some 14 forums that would have the information. I like the 14's, they respond well to bolt on stuff (better than the Busa) , just not as well once you get over 250hp....
