hey guys,

wondering if someone could give me some advise assembling a 9mm stroker busa engine.

Parts so far that will be used.
*9mm cranck
*carillo rods
*ported head and 1mm oversized valves.
* Multi stage lockup

not yet desided.
*bore size
*pistons
*camshafts
*cam degree numbers.

all other engine parts already stored waiting for assembly date.


Any information or ideas welcome.

cams would depend on what power you want or plans. pinky & i put a web cam in build. can not remember info now on it but can see my project build for info.

What's your ultimate goal with the bike when done? Street? Strip? LSR? The desired result will determine which route you take with the build....

I'd go with a 84mm block.  Spend most of your money on the head.  Get the compression to about 14 to 1.  I would use the cp pistons and degree the cams to about 108/108....maybe 110/110 since its just a track bike.  If you have the chassis and suspension right, it should go at least 8.50's on a bad run.

So did you finish the build?

We did a 9mm weld up/stroker, Carpenter head, his 445/415 cams, Wossner Pistons 84mm and made 260hp in a car chassis at the rear wheel..don't know what it would have been without running through a jack shaft and in a car chassis however.

Actual compression was 14:1

Did you complete the build yet?
