I am looking for some opinions and input please-

1st thing ~

I picked up a Raptor shiftlight used about 5 months ago now or longer...
Anyways wanted some info and opinions-
I know it is a 3 wire hookup
Quote
red=12VDC, black=ground, green=tach lead

Can I catch the signal wire to the guage or somewhere in the nose section ?
 or
do I have to go all the way back to the ECM and grab the tach wire where I tied my microtech into?
Also what cyl # &  rpm settings and such are you using?
Setting it right at redline? 500 rpm before? where?

2nd thing ~

I bought a complete left hand assembly off an 06 (mine's a 2000)
It has the flash to Pass whereas the pre 05 's do not-
I would like to use it to control the 2nd stage of boost -
Is it a straight across swap have not had the time just yet to fit it or even try to/

3rd thing...

I picked up a PMR tether kill switch that goes onto the right hand reservoir, where shoudl I catch the kill wires?
Inside the assembly or further down the harness ?

Like I said I am looking for opinions and personal experiences with these items -

Thanks!
Ron

Well the tach wire is easy on the back of the gauge cluster its the yellow with the blue tracer.

Im pretty sure the flash to pass is a direct fit (plugs are the same) i think between all the years but i could be wrong all it does is bridge the high beam so it turns the high beam on like a momentary switch when you press it.

I think the orange with the black  tracer is the wire you want to cut for your tether kill you could cut it in the harness from the handle bar switch so you dont actually cut the harness on the bike.

you want the brights head light to turn on the second stage of boost if you are wanting to use the flash button
and not change the routing of it

kewl-
I do not use my High beam anymore (is empty) because I Installed the HID I bought.
So I can use Blade Style connectors and control the 2nd stage of boost- Awesome~!

Good Input on the Tach wire at the guages   thumbs  up laughing7
