I would like to install a turbo setup behind the transmission. ( more room )This would get the hugh heat source away from thr radiator. I can do the fabrication myself. Car weight is 630# and this is a drag car only. I am looking at a Garrett T-25 intake ar 48 and exhaust ar 49 also have room for a intercooler. I am running a stock motor running header and no exhaust. I know this is something completely different from what you may be used to.

Does this turbo sound about right for what i am doing? I leave at 8000 rpm so low speed really doesnt come into play. I would like to make around 240 horse power with room to  make more.

the turbo might be a little small
can you step up to the next size?
T-28 possible?

might be a little better for power and efficiency

A t-28 would be no problem, this may be a better choice if i go ahead and run a intercooler. Do you have any specs on a t-28 that might work best for my application?

Gt28ror 28rs would be a good starting point ,with a 8k launch even a 3071 or 3076 would work well.
What are you doing for additional fuel

I was considering going to larger injectors. This is going to be my winter project along with a undercut trans , billet input shaft and lockup or slider.

On the extra fuel part you might go with secondaries you can build them your self if you dont mind the fabrication since you have some time on your hands plus its about the same price once you buy a powercomander,FMU,bigger injectors, and dyno tune it.

Or i could set you up with everything you need if you didnt want to build it yourself but i dont discourage people who want to build it them selves its a good learning experience.

The advantages over the stage one setup is more precise fuel control and you dont need multiple maps for different boost levels.

I have a powercommander and a Inovate LM-1 installed since it wont fit on a bike dyno. I have made a couple of low gear passes MPS was wired wrong.

i recommend going to secondaries to be honest
like they have said you have more control then with a PC
and you have the capabilities of changing boost levels with the secondaries without having to change maps Wink

yOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT THEM knowing THERE STUFF. If it hadnt been for some of these guys  i would still be trying to get this motor cranked up. Found out you had to add a resistor if you were not useing the stock switch. (Anti Theft) I wore out a starter and starter clutch.
