Is it ok to ride a turbo bike in the rain with the big filter sticking out the side of the fairing?

What if you take a long road trip and get caught in the rain?

really not a big deal.the thing is you can be safe in rain but a major hard down poor U will stop anyway. the turbo will evaporate the water more. Think about guys like me that have ram air. we are taking it more direct water. We have no problems.

if the filter gets soaked and slows air flow then i recommend stopping to let it dry out but youll stop before that point most times due to vision problems in rain

You'd need a lot of lean angle to get the filter as low as some of those below-the-bumper cold air intakes place their filters. If you're dragging a peg on your on a 300 hp turbo 'Busa through a 1" deep puddle in a thunderstorm, you've got more things to worry about than hydrolock. :)

Lack of traction in the rain 10 pounds of boost might be the most dangerous part of riding it in the rain
