Bazzaz Box. What are your thought?

i dont know if it would have much more adjustment then a pc would it?

Looks like one could map it out the same way you would a PC with a Data logger. Then, once you got it close, hook up the closed loop system to keep your a/f dead on, on-the-fly.

This is crazy, but what if you got an '08 harness and ECU, added secondaries and wired them in. Then you could get the Bazzaz for an '08 and it would control all 8 injectors?

Hmmmm. Have to find a totalled '08!

thottle bodies have a different spacing on the 08, from the gen 1 busas

and id be worried about it adjustng the fuel enough

Alright, just got word from DaveO who talked to Ammar Bazzaz.

The fuel controller with the O2 adapter logs A/F per RPM and TP.
You make the adjustments manually to the cells by telling it what A/F you want to be at at any giving RPM and TP.
The fuel controller adjust to hold your A/F at where you set it.
Not a closed loop.

Semi closed loop by the look , at least it can't do anything stupid like try to adjust for a fouled plug with out your input ..
more suited to the guy with an 08 and not wanting to buy 2 PC usb's
but no reason it can't do what the powercommander is doing now on FMU systems, maybe even better than the PC does.

yes the MS has a cosed loop setup also
but is it fast enough on a drag race application?

and which setup is it?
i seen a few different setups of the bazzaz in the first link
i didnt fully read it but i didnt know it was a full closed loop
MS has that but it needs to be a close tune to utilize the setup

Most closed loop systems rely on static fuel data (preprogrammed fuel data like that of the internal fuel tables or a Power Commander map) when going mid to full throttle. The closed loop operation is essentially only active at cruise and small throttle openings.

I saw a fairly inexpensive Bazzaz unit advertised the other day that comes preprogrammed for slip-ons or for a completely stock Hayabusa and it mentioned nothing about an O2 sensor or any ability to program it, so that Bazzaz unit in my opinion would be essentially useless. Apparently, there are many varieties available from this company, so Buyer beware.

yes agreed i read up more and its not fully closed loop
i will stick to the MS and the application we run for the busa i feel its way more advanced then the bazzaz
