air filter help, please

i want a cone shaped filter but every one i look at seems to be to big of a diameter. the filter i have now is a cylinder shape with an o.d. of 4.75 it pushes against my radiator hose pretty snug. all the cone type filters i find have a diameter of 5.25 or more. what am i missing? different hose? just not finding the right filter? or do you guys just force it on against the hose? HELP

you can find any filter size you need at k&n.com
they let you select the size and choose from there

also i personally use a filter from autozone
its cheep and works great

but its a bit bigger then what the one you have is
but my turbo will prolly set just a hair lower then yours will

k&n does not have a cone filter that has a base diameter of less than 5.75 with a 3" flange. first place i tried.....

there is only 2 on that list with a base diameter of under 5". the ru5111 which i had but had to return because even though it is advertised as a 3" flange it actually has a 1/4 lip on the inside of the flange. when i called and asked why does my filter have this lip on it they told me it was so i would have a snug fit. well it was to "snug" cause my turbo flange has a small lip on it for a tight filter fit. the one lip would not pass over the other and the filter would only go on about 3/4 of an inch they refunded my $$. the other filter i see on the list with a base diameter of 4.5" actually has a top diameter of 6". a reverse cone shape. not my style. uuugghh!

possibly so, the lip isnt hard to get rid of though

but yes i seen the reverse cone and was like WTF lol
