I'm installing my pistons in the not to distant future.  I'm looking for a good piston ring compressor to install them.  I've done a couple V-8 motors but never a bike.  Being that you have to slide the block over the pistons two at a time, like the manual says what type or brand of compressors do you guys use.  Adjustable, fixed type???  I've looked around a little, not sure what I should get.  Anybody like a particular brand or style?

Get some wide zip ties and flip them around backwards so they dont lock.

Huh?  Not sure I like the sound of that.  How well does it work, wont the ties fall off if you cant lock them on?

No, they wont.
If you use them where they lock, the little ridge on the inside will catch the top piston ring when you go to slide it in the cylinder.
Just do one at a time.

I put 2 & 3 in with ring compressors. 1 & 4 with zip ties.
