wow, you guys are way to kind. i'm not much on posting and i should have introduced myself first, it seems like there is a great bunch of guys here and this is really a neat site for us turbo guys. i probably know less about a turbo than 90% of you guys on here so i will learn alot from you guys.
next week i head back to maxton and hopefully will go faster. at the last event the bike kept coming up in the front and traction was an issue. i have taken some lead bricks and cut them to where i can bolt them to the under bracing on my swingarm, hopefully i can add at least 25 lbs. to the 35 lbs i already added earlier. still trying to figure out how to add another 20 lbs to the front. daveO has freshened up the motor and added a spray bar to the intercooler radiator ( got to get them temps down somehow ). my last time at maxton i had to stay up on the tank to keep the tire on the ground and that wasnt very aero effiecient, i am trying to locate a lower profile tank and if i do that will help alot.
i am so amped up about getting back out there and doing it again that i cant sleep at night. i lay there in bed and go over the run time and time again. i can picture the run all the way to the end, 12 days and counting.

well guys, 1 more week and we get to go fast again. will any of you be going? june is a good time to go since normally you get quite a few more runs in. sal from ace performance will be there so you can count on some records being set from his group.
hopefully one day pinky will get to come, i have no doubt that monster of his will fly. good looking bike.

Jeremy,
The next event is this weekend at maxton, n.c. 70 miles east of charlotte. Tech. inspection is on friday the 27th. and we race on saturday and sunday. They also tech on saturday but if you can get it out of the way on friday its alot better, in case something comes up unexpected, you will have time to respond. For those that have never ran in an event at maxton you will have to do some "licensing runs". What they want you to do is to be able to look good riding your bike at speed, so they watch your start, thru the run and how well you control it slowing down. They also expect you to keep it at or close to the designated speed you are qualifiing at. I dont recall exactly what speed they start you out at but its something like 150, then 175 then 200. Its really not a big deal. They will have a rookie meeting and take you out onto the course and explain all the do's and dont's. Once you have did all of that and you are good to go then you get in line and wait your turn. Once on the starting grid the steward will give you and your bike a once over and you are ready. Since it is 1 mile you dont need to launch like you do at the drag strip. leave easy and get into your tuck right away. Depending on how much power you are putting down you may want to short shift 1st and 2nd. Pin the throttle and hang on, it is a riot.
September is the next event at Maxton and Super Streetbike magazine is putting on an event there for the right to claim "fastest streetbike in america". That is always alot of fun. I am not sure how many classes there are but for sure there is turbo, nitrous and n/a.
In October there is an event at the Texas Mile and Maxton all on the same weekend. At the Texas Mile there is going to be a shootout for money. How much will depend on how many enter ($100 a bike) right now we have 15 turbo bikes.
If any of you can ever make 1 of these events you will find that everyone is friendly and very helpful. If you find yourself needing something, it seems people will line up to loan it to you.
I drove 1500 miles by myself these last 2 days to get to Maxton, theres no money in it, only personal satisfaction. I cant possibly describe to you how it feels to run over 200 mph at these 2 tracks, it is the rush of a lifetime.

CHEVROLET  short spelling for :

"Cracked Heads Every Valve Rattles Oil Leaks Engine Ticks",

"Can Hear Every Valve Rap On Long Extended Trips",

"Constantly Having Every Vehicle Recalled Over Lousy Engineering Technology"

Now this sounds like your truck. LoL

q. why are there sidewalks beside streets and highways
a. so ford owners have a safe place to walk home

q. how is a golf ball different from a ford
a. you can drive a golf ball 200 yards

     ford means

1 factory ordered road disaster
2 fix or repair daily
3 four old rusted doors
4 fu*ked on race day
5 for only retarted drivers.
