just finished putting together my bike with a stage1/FMU setup. we put .080 spacer in/adj.cam gear/A.P.E studs/cometic head gasket. adjusted cams to 105/107. set this up with S2000's, static fuel pressure set to 28/30#'s....7# spring in gate and started it with a map from a good guy thats for S2000's 10#'s. my question.........when u go to start it, it spins over very fast and then it almost sounds like the starter try's to kick back.....then when it does start its like BAM its running....it will usually do the "starter kickback type thing" a few times before it fires. once running it really doesn't idle clean even once warm but it does rev. up sorta clean. it does this wether its hot or cold. in your opinion is this a cam timing problem? a injector problem........? or something else  has anyone ran into this before? any help would be appreciated. also ofcorse the bike doesnt really build any boost on a stand but the fuel pressure gauge when ya rev it up pretty good will go from the static of 28/30# to 55/60#'s does that sound normal without any load on the motor?

it shouldnt raise the fuel pressure untill it makes boost
that should be a 6:1 ratio when it boosts

also check to see if the map sensor is properly plugged in

the map sensor isnt properly hooked up
or air pressure sensor hooked up too
vac routing is critical for a proper running bike Wink

only on a 2 step would it build boost
and that would only be 1-2 pounds then
and thats about it

it needs a load to boost at all

Maybe a combination of the sensors and a possible starter clutch on its way out?
Did you do anything th the ignition on the bike?

Chris, I routed the vac lines. There is one check valve inline with the fmu, it sees boost. I have all four TB's tied into one line going to the map sensor and it is seeing vac but not boost.
Bike turns over real good then almosts kicks back when injectors fire but it does start. Idles rough and seems to be running rich. I will probably take out the S2000's and un plug the power commander and see how it starts and idles.

Don't feel bad, I did same basic thing.  But I totally built a motor and install a new turbo kit and used a set of cams that someone else installed the sprokets on.  Long story short timing was off and the motor turned over like you described, I was going to say CAM TIMING when you said it turned over quickly.

I am sure PINKY remembers when this happened too me and I was freaking out.......LOL
