turbo cooling

The Mit. 16g turbo that is coming with my Hahns kit has provisions for water cooling. I have a turbo 02 Miata that is water cooled and was told that the turbo would last longer. My bike has a water line on the intake of the pump and one on the water outlet which should provide flow through the radiator.
would this idea work or would it over stress the radiator as far as heat transfer? Flyin Miata has the turbo connections.

Yes .
I tried to use the water cooling on my gt28 for a while and it worked ok when your traveling with good water flow in the radiator and airflow thru the rad, but when you stop and idle the water system that has no airflow and not much water flow , boils the water in the turbo and purges water out the reservoir

You got it, that's the line you use. Although water cooled is not a big deal on a bike, infact many have water cooled turbos and don't hook up the water line on a bike. Since the turbo is right in the air stream and not in a blazing hot engibne compartment you will see less advantage. With that said I have a water cooled GT28r on my GSXR1000 and my first kit used a water cooled 16t. So they work and you're hooking it up right, just not as big a deal on a bike.
But every bit helps.
Plus with a 16t you can keep your oil cooler which is a big help...
