it has come to my attention that i should warn you guys about the possibility of driving through the ECU'c soft injector cut
this will cause the bike to go lean and hurt internal parts (I.E. pistons and head gaskets)

I am putting out a recommendation to have the ECU reflashed to up the injector cut to above the ignition cut and make it a full hard cut

This is a recommendation not a requirement but it is in your best interest
there are a few people on this board that can do this fairly easily if you need it done
or you could get the hardware to do it yourself through Boost-by-Smith

smithabusa
Gsxturbo
as well as a few others can do this mod for you if you ask them to (I wont quote a price as its not my work to do)

I just wanted to get this info out for anyone who has a secondary system to help them not hurt their motor

You can put in a hard cut at a fairly high RPM so you don;t even have to worry about hitting the limiter. With rods and good bolts, you should have no problems revving to 12K. Not that you need to be there all day long (unless you are truely building a prostreet bike...), but you can still ride the bike like you normally would and not have to worry about the limiter.

Hard cut does feel pretty hard when it hits. Much more abrupt than stock.

Chris, i told you to tell Skeet, to make it mandatory for all you guys kits. It'll save LOTS of rework  LOL

Guys..  to emphasize what Pinky is sayin,  GET IT DONE!!!!   I'm the one that drove through the soft limiter in a 6th gear pull.   got it home and looked at the file, i spooled 12lbs of boost at 10200 rpm and drove another grand through it. Of course it leaned out and shit the bed. I thought i had lifted the head, maybe stretched a bolt.  Fried the number 1 cyl and lifted the rings on the other 3.

GET IT DONE!!

This is not an extreme recommendation
PLEASE set an ignition hard cut
you will drive through the limiter and cause piston damage on the secondary setups due to its still fueling the system

PLEASE MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT OR SEND IT OUT TO BE DONE
